Development of a concept

The foundation for franchising is the business format. This format describes the marketing mix of the business. Often the concept has already been developed, but this is also regularly not the case. Koelewijn & Partners then develops the format together with you.

Development of the franchise

Is your business format already unique and successful? Then the foundation for franchising can be created. The ways and conditions a franchisee can use the concept is put into writing. Including the division of tasks between the franchisor and the franchisee, both with regards to the front office as well as the back office of the organisation. This often results in a business plan for franchising, the so-called franchise plan. However, perhaps the franchise plan already exists and our role is mainly to test it.

Financial projections / Franchise fees

The franchise prognosis model© is a model, developed by Koelewijn & Partners for creating financial projections and prognosis for franchisors and franchisees. The combination of these two enables the creation of a suitable system of fees.

The Financial Exploitation Model© (FEM) is filled based on the findings during the creation of the franchise plan. The investment and exploitation prognosis provide an assesment of the potential return for your organization as well as the franchisees.

Completion of the scan

The completion of the FranScan® is formed by a concise report offering a concrete plan of approach.

When the plan is complete, a 'franchise package' is developed. this package consists of the franchise agreement, a franchise handbook of manual and the recruitment documentation.

Franchise contract and legal advice

Based on your franchise plan and the business concept, you will get a suitable franchise agreement or franchise contract. This contract states all the business agreements in a clear way. The contract adheres to the Dutch regulations as well as the European guidelines regarding to non-competition agreements.

If neccesary, we can also take care of other agreements such as a rental agreement or letting contract and a letter of intent between the franchisor and franchisee. Koelewijn & Partners cooperates with a network of specialists for additional knowledge and expertise on legal and fiscal issues.

Franchise handbook (online)

Koelewijn & Partners writes a clear franchise handbook together with you. This document outlines the practical rules and agreements regarding the franchise formula. The handbook clearly states which demands the franchisee and franchisor have to meet. Responsibilities, tasks and instructions are clearly explained. Subjects such as price, quality, furnishing and decoration, personnel and administration are also treated. We increasingly often develop these handbooks online so franchisees can easily access it at their convenience.

Coaching of the board of directors and management

You have the organization and the people for the exploitation of your franchise, but you require a critical view from the outside? You require a sparring partner who keeps you sharp, regularly holds a mirror in front of you or who thinks along for the next steps in the development of your franchise concept?
